When the Porsche Cayman was launched there was a strong argument for retiring the 911 all together. The mid engine coupe had striking looks, strong flat 6 engines and incredible driving dynamics aided by the superior weight distribution.

This 2012 987 Gen 2 model may not be the range topping 'S' model but as a 2.9 PDK it has the same performance as the original S from a couple of years earlier. 60 mph comes up in 5.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 163 MPH.
