This stunning 2002 Jaguar XJ8 is the last of the steel bodied models and really the last of the traditional Jaguars. Finished in Topaz metallic with Ivory leather this car still turns heads. Sitting very low allowed these cars to have a soft, cosseting ride whilst still having exceptional handling thanks to their low centre of gravity. The 3.2 V8 offers surprising performance and is paired with a super smooth 5 speed automatic gearbox. As a late model this car came without the nikasil bore liners that plagued the earlier cars.
It has been highly specified from new with electric memory sports seats, power fold mirrors, rear parking sensors, CATS suspension, 18 Inch alloy wheels, climate control, phone, full size spare, CD changer, cruise control, wood and leather steering wheel and mesh grill. The exterior of the car presents very well while the ivory leather interior is exceptional. It drives like new and has just been treated to a brand new set of Pirelli tyres. There are two keys, spare wheel with tools, books and manuals and a file of history.
The first owner bought this car as an ex demo in 2002 and retained ownership until 2022 with just one further owner since. Sadly due to the death of the owner the service book has been misplaced but there is a stack of invoices, most of which are from the Jaguar main dealer where I believe it was serviced. It is clear that the car has been cherished.
